Two unusual guests are sailing south of Crete from Djibouti.

They are two naval units of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF):

  • training ship JS Kashima (TV-3508);
  • guided missile destroyer JS Shimakaze (DDG-172).

The two units are on a training cruise and during their navigation, in the past weeks, they also conducted an exercise with the Indian Navy.
