Today we register a new day of NATO’s surveillance activity in the Black Sea area.

Two US assets are monitoring the area this afternoon. The first is a USN Boeing P-8A, which conducted a standard mission orbiting over the delta of the Danube.

The second is a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (registration 09-2039 – callsign FORTE15), which is currently (19:00 CET) orbiting over the eastern Black Sea south of Russian city of Sochi.

Both aircraft took off from NAS Sigonella.
