US double mission in Libya

Interesting U.S. movements toward Libya today. There were two flights that arrived in Libya today.

The first was a U.S. Special Operations Command Dornier C-146A (reg. 12-3047) , which landed in Benghazi this morning and departed in the afternoon.

Also heading toward Benghazi was a USAF Lockheed C-130J (reg. 07-4635), which then returned to Sigonella in the afternoon (possibly making a stop in Misurata, although this cannot be confirmed due to the incomplete tracking data).

It’s important to note that tensions in Libya are currently very high due to significant troop movements by Haftar’s forces.
