This afternoon we’re tracking various Royal Air Force (RAF) planes across a vast area of Europe and the Mediterranean:

  1. RRR9112:
    • Aircraft Type: Airbus KC2
    • Registration Number: ZZ338
    • Route: This aircraft left RAF Brize Norton with destination Malta.
  2. RRR09531:
    • Aircraft Type: Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4
    • Registration Number: ZK368
    • Position: This plane is visible near the coast of Tunisia, flying over the Mediterranean, Iit’s probably not alone but is the only one with the ADS-B transponder on.
  3. RRR9110:
    • Aircraft Type: Airbus KC2
    • Registration Number: ZZ333
    • Position: Located further south, near Sicily, this aircraft have a parallel course with the Typhoons.

Airbus KC2 planes are typically used for refueling, which might suggest a logistical support mission for Typhoon.
