NATO Air Command has released a very interesting photo showing an interception by an Italian Eurofighter of two Russian aircraft over the Baltic. As we know, despite the Italian Air Force’s longstanding presence in the Baltic area with its fighters, it is rather reluctant to publish photos of its interceptions.
In the photo above, however, we witness an intriguing shot taken by an Italian Typhoon, where two Russian MiG-31s are seen extremely close to the Italian fighter.
We have no further information regarding the location or date of the shot, nor details of the operation, but this photo still stands as valuable evidence of Italian activity in that area.
