This afternoon, three USAF tankers—a pair of Boeing KC-46As (reg. 21-46093 & 20-46073, c/s BLUE 26/27) and a Boeing KC-135R (reg. 58-0051, c/s BLUE28) —are heading west, departing from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, bound for Morón in Spain before crossing the Atlantic.

They are accompanying some F-22s returning to the USA after a deployment in the Gulf.

Another section of F-22s is expected to follow the same route in the coming days
