French Surveillance Mission Over the Black Sea: Hawkeye Operates from Charles de Gaulle

Yesterday morning, a new French mission took place over the Black Sea. A Grumman E-2C Hawkeye (reg.3), launched from the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle operating in the Eastern Mediterranean, carried out an aerial surveillance mission over the Black Sea (the exact area is unknown due to an incomplete flight path).

Before returning to the French aircraft carrier, the Hawkeye made a stop at the Romanian airbase in Constanța.

It is unclear whether the aircraft was escorted by Rafale fighters from the French Navy, also launched from the Charles de Gaulle, but it is likely.
