Journalist Cecilia Sala, arrested on December 19 for allegedly “violating the laws” of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been released and is en route to Italy, the Italian government announced on January 8.

It should be this aircraft, a Falcon 900, on which the journalist is returning to Italy.

The aircraft, likely operated by CAI, the airline of the Italian intelligence services, uses a fake ICAO code and does not transmit its registration number.

The reported destination (Naples) also appears to be false. The aircraft is expected to arrive around 4:30 PM at Rome Ciampino.
