Extensive French air operation this morning: an Airbus A330MRTT (reg. F-UJCM), a Boeing E-3CF (reg. 702), escorted by several Dassault Rafale jets, departed from French bases heading toward the Black Sea. After a brief delay due to authorization issues for entering Romanian airspace, the French team reached the Black Sea around 12:00 PM.
The A330MRTT remained near the coast while the Sentry, escorted by the Rafale jets, headed east over the Black Sea. Shortly after crossing the coast, the French formation turned off their ADS-B transponders.
The aircraft returned to land around 2:40 PM CET, completing a mission of approximately 2.5 hours.
It is noteworthy that an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62293) also contributed to airspace control, having departed from Pratica di Mare Air Base, south of Rome.
