New Demonstration Cruise for USAF B-52H Bombers. This time, the BUFFs (reg. 60-0023, 60-0007) that took off from RAF Fairford are flying near NATO’s eastern border, having crossed, among others, the airspaces of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and, as of this moment (10:00 CET), Turkey. One of the two (reg. 60-0007) is nuclear-capable, meaning it can carry nuclear weapons, while the other is limited to conventional armaments.
Notably, this is the second mission of this kind carried out by B-52 assets in recent days. The last one, a few days ago, was conducted by a single bomber near the Estonia-Russia border.
