A new convoy of the “Syrian Express” has left the Mediterranean. The Russian flotilla consists of the RoRo ships Sparta IV and Siyanie Severa, along with the Russian Navy landing ship Aleksandr Shabalin.

The vessels departed from Tartus, Syria, and are heading to Russia, transporting military vehicles and equipment being repatriated following Russia’s withdrawal from Syria.

During their journey, the ships were shadowed by NATO naval and air units. While transiting through the Strait of Gibraltar, they were closely followed by the Spanish patrol vessel Furor (P-46).
