Libyan Crossings

Interesting coincidence in the flights to Libya this afternoon. In fact, early in the afternoon, both an Italian Air Force Leonardo C-27J (reg. MM62223 ) from Pisa AB and two Turkish Air Force C-130Es (reg. 68-01608 & 68-01606) from Konya AB landed at Misurata airport.

Both Italy and Turkey have significant geostrategic interests in Libya and have been at odds until now. However, recently, the situation appears to have eased—at least on the surface.
