Yesterday, we tracked a pair of RAF Eurofighter FGR.4s (reg. ZK363 & ZK425) that departed from RAF Akrotiri around 12:00 CET alongside an Airbus KC.2 (reg. ZZ343), heading south. The mission’s tracking data is incomplete, and we were only able to follow them while they were flying over the northern Red Sea, continuing southward.
After approximately six hours, the three aircraft returned to Cyprus.
The flight path and duration leave little doubt about the nature of the RAF aircraft’s mission. It is highly likely that they participated in operations against the Houthis in Yemen. In recent days, similar movements have been tracked with the same characteristics, suggesting that RAF forces have also taken part in air operations conducted by the U.S. in previous days.
