Monitoring the Churov

The Russian Navy tug Churov, after remaining stationary for several days west of Sardinia—likely due to poor sea weather conditions—has resumed its westward navigation.

Earlier this afternoon, an Italian Air Force ATR P-72A (registration MM62298), during a patrol mission, flew over the area where the tug is currently located to monitor it more closely. It is not confirmed—though highly likely—whether the submarine Krasnodar is also with the tug.
