The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) continues her navigation westward, heading home after her deployment. Earlier today, we were able to track the flight of a US Navy Northrop Grumman E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (registration 169869) that took off from the American aircraft carrier.
Thanks to open-source data and a detailed analysis of today’s satellite imagery, Sergio Scandura—journalist for Radio Radicale and OSINT expert—successfully located the carrier. By cross-referencing the aircraft’s flight path with visual satellite clues, Scandura identified the Truman sailing northwest across the central Mediterranean.

This morning, the carrier was positioned in the central Mediterranean Sea. Based on the extended flight track of the E-2D and typical operational patterns, it’s likely that by tonight the USS Truman is south of Sicily, continuing her course toward the Strait of Gibraltar.
As always, the combination of flight tracking and satellite imagery provides powerful insights into naval movements, especially when conducted by seasoned OSINT professionals.
