Late last night, around 11 PM, three Italian Air Force Lockheed C-130J aircraft (reg. MM6219, MM62195, MM62196) arrived in Italy after departing earlier in the afternoon from Eilat, Israel.

The aircraft transported a total of 70 children from Gaza, injured during the Israeli bombings and in urgent need of medical treatment. Italy has offered to receive and care for them, with the children being distributed among a dozen hospitals across the country.

The three humanitarian flights landed at Pratica di Mare Air Base (south of Rome), Milan Linate Airport, and Verona Airport, respectively.

It is not excluded that similar humanitarian missions may take place in the coming weeks.
