Logistical flights to the Gulf

The movement of USAF cargo aircraft from Europe to the Middle East continues. Over the past few hours, more than a dozen Boeing C-17As have flown from several European bases—RAF Mildenhall, Ramstein, and Aviano—toward the Gulf region.

However, this should not be interpreted as a sign of an imminent U.S. attack in the area. It is important to note that such “logistical” flights are conducted on a regular basis. The fact that they are continuing now clearly indicates that the U.S. military presence in the Gulf is being reinforced. We will see in the coming hours how the situation develops.
