A turbulent transfer

This morning, we witnessed the return of six USAF McDonnell Douglas F-15 fighter jets (callsigns TABOR91, etc.) from Jordan to the United States.

The six aircraft departed from Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan and headed to RAF Mildenhall in the UK. They were supported by three USAF Boeing KC-46A Pegasus tankers (reg. 18-46049, 21-46059, 17-46031, callsign CLEAN31/2/41) which took off from Crete.

Although details remain unclear, it appears that two of the F-15s experienced issues and were forced to return to Souda Bay, escorted by one of the KC-46As (17-46031).
