On October 26, an Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767A (registration MM62229, callsign IAM1432) carried out a long-range mission between Decimomannu Air Base (Sardinia) and Rzeszów Airport (Poland), returning to Italy later the same day.
After departing from Decimomannu in the morning, the aircraft reached Rzeszów—one of NATO’s main logistics hubs for operations related to Ukraine—before landing in Pisa San Giusto Air Base and subsequently continuing to Pratica di Mare Air Base near Rome in the evening.
Although no official information has been released, the flight pattern and destination strongly suggest that the mission was connected to the transfer of military equipment or weapon systems, as similar operations involving the KC-767A have been observed in the past.
The KC-767A is a multirole aircraft capable of both aerial refueling and strategic transport. Missions of this type highlight Italy’s continuing logistical and operational support within the broader NATO framework.
