The aircraft, registered 4X-ISR, performed holding patterns west of Israel before returning inland. The timing — following Iranian missile and drone attacks against Israeli territory — gives this flight immediate strategic relevance.
“Zion Wings” is not a fleet designation but the commonly used nickname for Israel’s dedicated state transport aircraft, comparable in symbolic role to Air Force One in the United States. Its movements are therefore never routine.
