“Charles de Gaulle” left Toulon

The French aircraft Charles De Gaulle (R91) carrier left the port of Toulon yesterday.

In the next few days, the ship will operate in the western Mediterranean for a training mission in favor of the navy aviation school.

Usually scheduled twice a year, this essential phase aims to qualify for the landing, day and night, of the new pilots of the Navy’s aviation.

This exercise also allows the training of already qualified pilots. This embarkation is therefore fundamental in order to benefit from a qualified airborne group ready to intervene during the next deployment of the carrier strike group.
