This morning a USN Boeing P-8A which took off overnight from NAS Sigonella is carrying out a surveillance flight over the eastern Mediterranean, in front of Russian infrastructure in Syria and in the vicinity of Russian naval units in the area.
Yesterday afternoon a similar mission was carried out by an Italian CAEW.
