Intense activity on NATO’s eastern flank

Considerable deployment of surveillance aircraft on the entire eastern flank of NATO, from north to south:

  • Swedish Air Force Saab 1000D (reg. 100004) at work over the Baltic Sea
  • RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ664) north of Kaliningrad
  • Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303) south of Kaliningrad
  • USAF Boeing E-3A (reg. 82-0007) over eastern Poland
  • USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4131) over Romania

It has been some time since we have recorded such activity.
