While the tug Sergey Balk, along with the submarine Ufa, is about to arrive in Tartus, and the tanker Kama has been in Tartus for a few days, another tanker, the Yelnya (Altay Class), is sailing in the western Mediterranean towards the west.

Departed on December 19 from the naval base in Tartus, Syria, the tanker seems to be heading towards Gibraltar to exit the Mediterranean. It is possible that this is a replacement for the tanker Kama.

The position of the tanker Yelnya is updated daily through Morse code messages emitted by the naval unit to report weather conditions. Below is the latest message, today’s one.

These messages are collected by amateur radio operators and, in particular, are published by the Twitter account @te3ej.
