Italian F-35s to Iceland

Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767A (MM6228) in flight to Keflavik AB , Iceland, with 6 Italian Lockheed Martin F-35s from Amendola AB.

After an aerial refueling over southern Piedmont the formation continued its flight northbound.

Also an Italian Lockheed C-130J (MM62178) departed from Pisa San Giusto AB follow the formation over the North Sea.

They’re “escorted” by an Italian Air Force ATR P-72A (MM62279) departed this morning from Keflavik AB around 12:00 AM (UTC).

The Italian Air Force will deploy F-35s combat aircraft to Keflavik Airbase to conduct NATO air policing and training duties over Iceland.
