This morning an USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B “Global Hawk” (reg. number 11-2047 or 11-2048 callsign FORTE10) left NAS Sigonella around 3 AM UTC eastbound. We’ve lost the signal south of Crete when the Global Hawk was flying eastbound, probably to make a surveillance mission over eastern Mediterranean Sea, off Syria.
In these minutes (12AM UTC) the drone is tracked, always south of Crete but flying instead westbound. The Global Hawk is back to NAS Sigonella were is expected in around 1 hour.
