two different surveillance missions around Sicily are in progress this morning: a NATO Boeing E-3A ( LX-N90445) departed from trapani birgi AB is circuiting around the Eolian islands while an Italian Air force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (MM62293), departed from Trapani too, is making a similar mission over the Strait of Sicily.

Both aircraft are participating in Personnel Recovery Week 2019 exercise ( with five Eurofighter F-2000 from 4th, 36th, 37th e 51th Wings and two Agusta Westland HH-139A of 82nd and 83rd Combat Search and Rescue Center) )
