On January 29 the Israeli Navy published this notice to mariners (019/2020):

This is to advise all mariners that the area marked as area “A” will be declared as “Danger area” on January 31st 2020 till February 20th 2020 between 0500 to 1400 local time daily.
Area “A”:
1.     34 36 02 N  019 34 11 E
2.     34 20 17 N  019 41 04 E
3.     34 16 57 N  020 09 57 E
4.     34 22 44 N  020 28 38 E
5.     34 36 50 N  020 31 56 E
6.     34 47 45 N  020 22 36 E
7.     34 51 21 N  020 07 36 E
8.     34 50 05 N  019 52 54 E
9.     34 41 15 N  019 40 37 E
Mariners are advised to proceed with caution in the vicinity.

The area was between eastern Libya and Greece (click on the image over the post to enlarge the map).

A previous notice (N.13/2020 of 27 January) declared this area “closed”.

This morning a new notice (020/2020) informs all mariners that notices No. 013/2020 and 019/2020 are cancelled.

The notice does not indicate the reasons that led to declare the danger zone nor why the dangerous period was canceled almost 20 days ahead of schedule.

It could be an Israeli unit in distress now rescued?
