This afternoon we’re tracking a USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (160764) making an SIGINT mission off Russian military installations in Syria (Latakia Russian AF airbase and Tartus Russian Navy facility).

The aircraft is departed from Souda Bay AB, Crete.

Usually this mission is made by USNavy P-8As from NAS Sigonella or USAF RC-135W from Souda Bay AB.

This EP-3E make generally this type of mission off Libya or off Crimea.
