In these days we’re tracking the IRINI missions of the German Navy over the central Mediterranean Sea made by a Lockheed P-3C departing from northern Germany. But in these days we’ve tracked also another long haul mission, this time made by the US Navy.

Yesterday around 12:00 CEST a USNavy Boeing P-8A “Poseidon” left NAS Sigonella northbound. After two hours and half of flight the aircraft arrived over Baltic Sea where it made a surveillance mission of 5 hours (we’ve only a little part of this mission tracked).

Around 21:00 CEST the aircraft finished its mission and begun the return flight to Sigonella where the Poseidon is landed around 00:30 CEST.
