This morning an Italian Air Force Beechcraft B350ER (reg. MM62300, callsign IAM1498) left Pantelleria AB to make an usual ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) mission off Libya.
We haven’t more data to know where exactly the mission was done (the ADS-B transponder was switched off south of the island of Lampedusa.

At the same time an Italian Air Force P-72A (reg. MM62281 – callsign IAM4101) left Sigonella AB to make a reconaissance mission over central mediterranean Sea. The mission does not appear to have been a usual patrol mission but rather a flight to identify a single target. The aircraft does not appear to be an asset of the IRINI operation
Around 12:30 CEST both aircraft were back to their homebases.
