The “operation EOS” has started

Tomorrow will be V-Day across Europe, the day when the vaccination against COVID-19 will start. In Italy, the operation for the distribution of the vaccine on the national territory is called the “operation EOS”.

The Italian Air Force participating with two Alenia C-27Js that will transport the vaccine, together with a P-180 of the Italian Navy and two Do-228s of the Army.

The two C-27Js (reg. MM62215/MM62218 – callsign IAM4676/4677) are in flight in these minutes (16:30 CET) from Pisa Pratica di Mare AB (the national hub where all the vials of the vaccine are stored) to begin the distribution in Italy.
