Italian Navy F-35 landed aboard carrier Cavour

Yesterday was an historical day for the Italian Navy.

An Italian Navy Lockheed Martin F-35B (reg. MM7454) has landed for the first time aboard the Cavour (C-550) aircraft carrier underway in the Ionian Sea.

This is the third aircraft assigned to the Italian Navy and it is arrived directly from the assembly plant in Cameri escorted by two Italian Navy AV-8B+ (departed from Turin).

Italian Navy will receive 15 F-35B.
