ITS “Doria” eastern Mediterranean Sea patrol mission

Italian Navy destroyer “Andrea Doria” (D 553) is underway in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Last activities reported by Italian Navy are: a “meeting” with an Atlantique 2 aircraft of the French Navy and training with the units of the Hellenic Navy, the frigate HS Kanaris (F464) and the fast boat HS Simitzopoulos (P28).

The Italian destroyer, on patrol between the island of Crete and Cyprus, works in close synergy with the naval and air forces of NATO allies.
