British eyes on Libya

An unusual mision is in progress of Libya: a RAF Boeing RC-135F (reg. ZZ665 – f/n RRR7218) is departed Souda Bay AB around 09:00 CET. After an AAR mission south of Crete with an USAF KC-135R the aircraft begun its mission off Libya.

The aircraft was tracked off eastern Libya and off Western Libya: the Rivet Joint made its mission off Tripoli and Benghazi.

In the past we’ve already tracked similar mission made by USAF planes (the last one on october 7) but this is the first time that we track a similar mission done by a RAF plane.
