Update on Ionian sea situation

This morning the Ionian Sea theatre still looks very crowded.

In these minutes (11:00 CET) we are tracking two USNavy Boeing P-8As that took off from Sigonella and are carrying out two different missions:

  • the first one is probably taking part in the NATO exercise Dynamic Manta 2022.
  • the second one is carrying out a mission in the area where the USS Truman Combat Strike Group is located.

Meanwhile, the task force of the Russian Navy cruiser Ustinov is moving away to the east and is currently sailing south of Crete at a speed of 16 knots heading 95°.
