A USAF Boeing RC-135U (reg. 64-14849 – callsign HOMER59), which carried out a 7 hours surveillance mission over the eastern Mediterranean, is returning to its base in Souda.

In addition to the usual flight in front of the Syrian coast, the aircraft made other orbits south of Cyprus and off Alexandria, Egypt.

In the area there is deployed the entire Russian Navy Mediterranean fleet as well as the CSG (Combat Strike Group) of the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle.
