ITS Garibaldi participating in “Cold Reponse”

Cold Response is a Norwegian-led military exercise held in northern Norway every second year.

The military activity mainly takes place in south-eastern Norway, central Norway and the northern parts of the country. Cold Response 2022 tests air, sea and land elements, and Norway offers excellent arenas to train realistically in all of these domains.

The Italian Navy participates in the exercise with the aircraft carrier “Garibaldi” (C551) playing the role of “Amphibious Task Force Commander Landing Force”.

The ship is currently located off central Norway where it is operating, as seen in the image below, along with other NATO naval units.
