Joint exercise for Italian F-35Bs

Very interesting . In this photo of the aircraft carrier “Cavour” (C-550) participating in the exercise of the Italian Navy “Mare Aperto 2022” which is taking place in these days, two Lockheed Martin F-35B can be seen on the deck of the ship.

The F-35B seen on the right is an aircarft of the Italian Air Force, as can be seen from the codes on the tail rudder.

This is not the first time that an Italian Air Force F-35B has operated from the aircraft carrier Cavour. It has already happened, for example, last November (we talked about it here)

The final Italian goal is to create a single task force with aircraft from the Navy and the Air Force.
