Yesterday, Russian troops abandoned Snake island, which was no longer defensible after the latest Ukrainian missile attacks carried out with the new weapons received from Western states (Himars and Harpoon).
Despite this, the activities of the NATO assets on eastern Romania continue today:
- RAF Airbus KC.2 (reg. ZZ337) carries out an aerial refuelling mission in favour of NATO fighters engaged in a Combat Air Patrol;
- an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303 – callsign PERSEO71) carries out a surveillance mission over eastern Romania near the Black Sea coast
- a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 11-2046 – callsign FORTE10) from NAS Sigonella orbits the western Black Sea
