At least two drones are currently operating over the Black Sea.

For several hours, a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 11-2046 – callsign FORTE11) took off from NAS Sigonella and is orbiting the western Black Sea.

Tonight, one of the NATO drones, a Northrop Grumman RQ-4D (reg. MM-AV-SA0016) took off from Sigonella and, following the same route as the USAF Global Hawk, arrived over the Black Sea where it will carry out its mission.

As usual, once in the area of operations, unlike the USAF aircraft, the NATO drone will switch off the ADS-B transponder.
