An USAF Boeing E-4B “Nightwatch” (reg. 74-0787 – callsign GRIMM99) left Souda Bay AB heading west half an hour ago.

The aircraft had arrived in Crete on the morning of 11 July in connection with President Biden’s visit to Israel .

The Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post (AACP) is a strategic command and control military aircraft. The E-4 serves as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority, namely the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, and successors.
