There was some interesting movement over Romania this morning.
A NATO AWACS (Boeing E-3A from Konya AB, reg. LX-N90448) has been orbiting eastern Romania for over 4 hours.
This morning, a French Air Force Boeing C-135FR (reg. 525) from Istres AB also arrived over Romania. It is very likely that this aircraft was flying together with fighters that carried out a Combat Air Patrol over Romania.
In the meantime, a USAF Boeing KC-135R (reg. 63-8874) took off from Souda Bay AB heading towards Poland where it will carry out an aerial refuelling mission.
