MEDEVAC mission for an ItAF HH.139A off Naples

This afternoon around 19:15 CET, an Italian Air Force Leonardo HH.139A (reg. MM82038) rescued a passenger from the Grimaldi Lines Ro-Ro Cargo Ship Eurocargo Venezia (IMO: 9465552, MMSI: 247297200) via its winch.

When the passenger felt ill, the ferry deviated from its route (Genoa – Malta) and headed towards Naples.

Off the coast of Naples, the helicopter picked up the passenger and took him to hospital in Naples.
