Busy Sunday morning

There is no rest on Sunday in the Black Sea area.

Since this morning, a NATO Boeing E-3A (reg. LX-N90452 – callsign MAGIC11) from Konya AB has been carrying out an aerial surveillance mission orbiting the Danube delta.

From Souda Bay AB, a USAF Boeing KC-135R (reg. 61-0276 – callsign NACHO71) took off in the direction of Romania. The two aircraft are now flying over an area in eastern Romania to carry out an aerial refuelling.

A USN Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 159893) also took off from Souda this morning, also heading for the Danube delta to carry out a SIGINT mission, but arrived over Bulgaria and is turning back. Perhaps a malfunction?
