Libya express

Between 31 and February we tracked a series of quite unusual flights to Libya by an Italian Air Force Leonardo C-27J (reg. MM62223).

First of all, on the first flight, Rome Ciampino-Tripoli, the ADS-B transponder indicated the destination, which is unusual for flights to Libya.

The aircraft then instead of returning to Rome headed to Pantelleria. Here it left the next day for Misrata and then finally returned to Rome Ciampino.

This stopover in Pantelleria is as strange as Rome Ciampino airport as the origin and end of the flights (and not Pisa or Pratica di Mare)
