VIDEO: Reaper interception

The U.S. European Command (EUCOM) has released declassified footage of the March 14 interception by at least one Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 of an USAF MQ-9 “Reaper” in international airspace over the Black Sea about 70 miles southwest of the Crimean Peninsula.

As is evident from the footage, the Russian aircraft during the interception did not comply with any of the international rules governing this type of procedure.

As a result of the maneuvers filmed by the drone, the MQ-9, struck at the propeller and crashed.
