The evacuation of 140 Italian citizens (as well as some citizens of other countries) from Khartoum, Sudan, by Italian special forces has been concluded.

At least one Italian Air Force Lockheed C-130J (certainly MM62193 of which images have circulated in the Italian media), departed from Pisa and landed in Djibouti, took off again from Djibouti (with Italian army special forces troops on board), landing at Khartoum airport to then return to Djibouti.

No further information on the mission has been released at the moment.
