The two Russian Navy auxiliary vessels, the tanker Vice Admiral Paromov and the tug Sergey Balk, have almost arrived at the port of Tartus, Syria.

The two ships entered the Mediterranean last May 13 and go to reinforce, albeit without any real military function the Russian contingent in the Mediterranean.

Today, in addition to the two units mentioned above, the units of the Russian Navy present in the Mediterranean should be:

  • Frigate Admiral Gorshkov, armed with hypersonic missiles
  • Corvette Orekhovo-Zuyevo
  • Minesweeper Vladimir Emelyanov
  • Krasnodar Kilo-class submarine
  • Kola, tanker
