This morning a RAF Boeing C-17A (reg. ZZ171) took off from RAF Akrotiri on the island of Cyprus at approximately 09:087 CEST.
The aircraft headed for Benghazi, Libya, where it landed at 12:16.

After just under an hour, at 13:07 the Globemaster left the capital of Cyrenaica in the direction of Misrata, where it landed at 13:47.
Finally 15:34 the C-17A definitively left Libya to return to Akrotiri where it landed at 18:49.

We have recorded several RAF flights into Libya in the past, the exact nature of these missions remains unknown.
